miniEditions update and semi-prepared path towards 3.4+ release
miniEditions will enter the final beta testing process in more or less 4 days. That’s a good news, indeed. 700Mb of full bleeding edge power. Another good news is about the next Sabayon Linux major release: I just unlocked the tree and started to recompile everything using GCC 4.2 and, for the x86 Edition, using -march=i686 instead of -march=i586

kudos! ’bout time we stopped dragging along those old Pentium pros that were weighting us down!
The next release will be based on / supporting Entropy, right?
Pentium Pro (and Pentium II) is i686.
woot for the minieditions. i like the cd versions a lot. btw the minieditions are based on 3.4f right? (because there is no point if they are based on 3.4a,b,e)
i686!!! \o/
Will the critical global USE flags missing from /etc/make.conf in 3.4a, 3.4e and 3.4f be included in these mini editions? Also, I have noticed that some of the flags in the 3.4f make.conf are duplicated (dvi occurs twice, nsplugin occurs three times, musicbrainz occurs twice, and possibly there are others). If possible, and if you can find the time, it may be worthwhile reviewing make.conf before compiling for new editions. Many thanks.
